		<title>TOWN OF LADOGA FIRE/EMS STATION PROJECT - Public Hearing Notice</title>

		<description>On or about March 19, 2010, the Town of Ladoga intends to apply to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for a grant from the Office of Community and Rural Affair&amp;rsquo;s Community Focus Fund of the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This program is funded by Title I of the Federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. These funds are to be used for a community development project that will include the following activities: construction of a new Fire/EMS Station. The total amount of CDBG funds to be requested is $500,000.  The amount of CDBG funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit low- and moderate-income persons is $256,750. The Applicant also proposes to expend an estimated $61,500 in non-CDBG funds on the project. These non-CDBG funds will be derived from the following sources: CCD Fund - $50,000, and the Montgomery County Community Foundation Fund - $11,500. The Town of Ladoga will hold a public hearing on March 16, 2010, at 7:00 pm; in the Ladoga Town Fire Station to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed federally funded CDBG project. Persons with disabilities or non-English speaking persons who wish to attend the public hearing and need assistance should contact Viki Powers, Clerk-Treasurer, P.O. Box 187, Ladoga, IN  47954, 765-952-2531 not later than March 11, 2010. Every effort will be made to make reasonable accommodations for these persons. 		<title>The Circus is Coming to Town!</title>

		<description>The LIEBLING BROS. CIRCUS will be coming to Ladoga Park on Monday September 14th. Midway Rides will begin at 6:00 pm. Elephant   pony rides and face painting will also be available. Showtime; which will consist of juggling displays, aerial maneuverings and more will began at 7:00 pm. The show is expected to last about 1 1/2 hours . Tickets for the performance will be $5.00 for children and $10.00 for adults. This is the first circus in many years to come to Ladoga, and if successful, this could become an annual event. We hope to see you there!</description>

		<description>The Town&amp;rsquo;s 2nd Bi-annual Clean-up Days will be held on September 19th   20th. Four dumpsters will be placed in the parking lot south of the large ball diamond, for use only by Ladoga residents. The site will be monitored for illegal dumping of such items as: appliances, tires, antifreeze, cleaners, oil-based paints, acids   bases, weed killers, old fuels, paint thinner/remover, rechargeable/lithium NICAD batteries, items containing mercury, computer monitors, printers, keyboards, CPU&amp;rsquo;s, laptops and hard drives, fluorescent light bulbs/ballast, adhesives, driveway sealer, motor oil filters, fertilizers, motor oil, pool chemicals, stains/ varnish, pesticides/herbicides and old batteries. Please be considerate, and if the dumpsters are full do not place items on the ground. We will have more clean &amp;ndash;up days next year.</description>

The Indiana Municipal Power Agency, the Town of Ladoga&amp;rsquo;s wholesale power provider, has launched a free online energy audit designed to help consumers make their homes more energy efficient.            &amp;ldquo;We want to provide our customers with more control over their home energy use,&amp;rdquo; commented Viki Powers, Ladoga Clerk-Treasurer.  &amp;ldquo;This interactive tool shows consumers exactly how much money they can save if they implement certain conservation measures.&amp;rdquo;            By simply clicking on the &amp;ldquo;energy calculators&amp;rdquo; button at the IMPA website (http://www.impa.com/energy-audit-calc.asp), consumers have access to valuable, money-saving tips and personal insight into their individual energy consumption.  </description>

		<description>Saturday and Sunday May 2nd and 3rd the Town of Ladoga and the surrounding Clark Township residents will hold the first bi-annual cleanup days at the Ladoga Town Park. This event will coincide with Tri Kappa&amp;#39;s Annual Yard Sale event so that unsold or unwanted items can be disposed of easily. There will be two dumpsters placed in the parking lot south of the baseball diamond for large trash disposal. </description>

		<description>The Twenty-first Century Scholars Program began in 1990 as Indiana&amp;#39;s way of raising the educational aspirations of low- and moderate-income families. The program aims to ensure that all Indiana families can afford a college education for their children.Income-eligible 6th, 7th and 8th graders who enroll in the program and fulfill a pledge of good citizenship to the state are guaranteed the cost of four years of undergraduate college tuition at any participating public college or university in Indiana. If the student attends a private institution, the state will award an amount comparable to that of a public institution. If the student attends a participating proprietary school, the state will award a tuition scholarship equal to that of Ivy Tech Community College.</description>
